Happy new year!
a year ago
Well, another year has come and gone. It seems like I’ve seen that a lot of people struggled this year, but it’s actually been pretty good for me. It was a nice mix of work and free time (I think I built three houses and thirty two apartments this year), I got one of my loans paid off. I’ve lost some weight and I’m probably in the best shape of my life. I got to see family over the summer that I haven’t seen in a few years. My best friend got married, and I got to be the best man.
It hasn’t all been good of course. I broke a tooth and my wisdom teeth undoubtedly need to come out. We lost one of the cats over the summer and had a health scare with another. But such is life.
And most notably (at least here), is that I finally jumped off the sideline of furry-dom into the fray. I can’t say that I’m a lurker just watching the comings and goings of fuzzy people now. I saw the design of Saoirse in late January and just couldn’t resist snagging her, and what a ride it’s been since! She’s led to some fun and interesting places for sure, some that I’m not sure I liked. But I certainly haven’t regretted it! I got some awesome art, and got to explore my creative side more. Some of the stories I wrote are still near and dear to my heart. I’ve also gotten to know some people, to the point I’d call them friends, which hasn’t happened in a long time. Some of them have definitely been drawn in by a certain feminine, feline, figure, but I hope we continue to get to know each other beyond just the physical in the new year! It’s also been an honor that almost two hundred and fifty people have decided to watch my page.
For the upcoming year? Well, who knows for sure. It’d be really nice to loose more weight and bust my beer gut (even though I don’t drink beer. That doesn’t seem right) I’d also like to spend more time learning how to make video games and put my creativity to work. I have so many stories running around in my head that need to get out! I’m currently playing through Changeling Tale (it’s really good, you should play it!) and going through Jessie’s story there’s a lot of talk about pursuing one’s dreams. I hope this year I’ll be able to start chasing down some of mine.
I plan to expand the cast you’ve seen here (rather soon in fact!) hopefully including… me! Surprise, I’m not actually a rather well endowed lady, although it has been entertaining at times dispelling some people’s misconceptions! I hope to get some art of Allen soon, but who knows exactly when. I’ve also got some story ideas that I’d like to start exploring soon. Look forward to February when I think I’ll have some more free time.

Like you though slowly moving out of the sideline of viewing the art as I acquired some character last month and bought into a large scene picture.
For me this year has it ups and downs as I was laid off end of June but got 3 months of severance. Still on the hunt for best job, but have been working in IT field service gig work. I have two job application for Data Centers and currently waiting on interviews to have a schedule date. One I did about 4 weeks of contracted break fix work for and hoping for the best for getting the job.
December had it down, but should be positives from here on as well. It has its own complicated history involving family.
