Gonna be updating my prices
'Tis 2024 and I went through some MASSIVE skill growth over 2023. Also, I think my prices were already super low for the work I do, which is a bit of a trend for me...
When I first became a commissioned artist, I think I severely undercut myself because I had some crippling self esteem issues and imposter syndrome. I've been slowly, but steadily growing out of that mindset and have a fair bit more confidence in the work I do. Currently, I think I've undercut myself simply because I am BAD at calculating financial stuff. I know the theory of commissions being worth "skill level x time". I feel pretty secure about my skill level worth now, it's just time that I struggle with because I never really know how long something takes me to do. When I'm really in the zone, hours can fly by without my notice, so that's what makes that part hard.
I know this was rambly and stuff, but stay tuned. If nothing else, I'll certainly be making art.
