Hey guys. Pieces will be slow. I know I've had a new issue every time we turn around, but our landlord just called and cursed my mom out for not being able to get him rent. But let me start from the begining of the shit that's cropped up the past week.
- I fought off my lung infection! Except it wasn't a lung infection. it was Covid and they didn't want to test me because I didn't have insurance; I even asked for a test.
- Kenny has covid currently, as does my mother. Due to this we've had to postpone our trip for Kenny to see his family.
- Temperatures have reached the 40s (f) in our house because the landlord wont get heat in here. Electric heaters flip the breakers. He insists we knew of the issues when we moved in. We knew of a bit of a problem that he said he'd fix, but nothing to this extent and nothing has been done. We've been sequestered to two rooms of our house- our bedrooms- with everyone being sick with covid and with my dad having a chronic illness that can flare up worse in the cold also having been exposed because there's nowhere to safely isolate.
- On the subject of my father, he has another blockage and will need another surgery this month.
We need to find a new place ASAP, the landlord already threatened to kick us out at the prospect of calling the police if we're threatened by an old tenant that broke in before, has yelled at me multiple times, and just called my covid-ridden mother to cuss her over not getting rent while knowing our heat is out. He flowered the state of the house to say we're good to move in, but now that we're in he's 'just finding out' about shoddy fuse boxes and the state of the heating in the house; that's also not counting the multiple floorboards we've nearly fallen through due to his sketchy ductwork on the house. We don't feel safe and we certainly can't stay warm to recover.
I can't bog my queue down, I really can't afford to, but I'll likely do another sale to try to get stuff together that we can possibly move out on and afford legal fees if it comes to that. It's been blow after blow from all directions and people have consistently taken advantage of us. I don't know what I can post as proof because I know it sounds fare fetched for this much stuff to go wrong, but i will provide some kind of proof if people ask, I just want to make sure it's understood that I'm not trying to just make excuses for my slow work or beg for money. I just want something to go right for us; Kenny and my parents deserve so much better than this shit.
Sadly too many negligent landlords especially if you're trying to avoid abusive HOAs. I hope you guys kept records of all their BS.
