Lease Ending
So my lease is up August 31st and my current room mates are moving to another state.
I've been informed that they might have to break lease early, that it could happen any time this year, possibly before then. No idea when.
So I'm looking for options to move this year. I live in Minnesota, but at this point if I want to avoid reconnecting with my parents I'm willing to move states if I have to.
I dunno what this journal's purpose is. I don't have a lot of options and the uncertainty of when is really scary. I just hope I can figure something out.

Really, really sorry to hear about all that, 'yote. I'm always here for ya, if ya need to talk. Really hoping the best for you...

I typically ask any of my close friends if they'd be interested in rooming together, have you tried reaching out to any of your other friends?
i hope beyond hope that you dont have to reconnect with your parents again that sounds even worse
Unsolicited advice: If your roommates are the ones considering breaking the lease early, and they hold the lease, you may be able to negotiate transferring the lease to you to stay longer (you're already staying there, right?). This would require cooperation between you, them, and your landlord. In that circumstance, you might even be able to renew the lease for some further amount of time provided it's in your price range (expect a price increase if renewing it). The landlord might be happy to not have it broken early, if they have any business sense.
If you trust your roommates enough (including in the matter of comprehension/competency), maybe run the idea by them so it's on their mind, too. It's not too complicated to do and a competent landlord ought to happily be able to prepare paperwork for it.
If you haven't already, start packing things now, especially if there's not much else to do at a given time. I believe you'll be good as you surely have more time to move out than I did with my disabled parents and my and their lifetime's worth of crap (3 months), but it will feel good to have boxes and everything ready to go.
Leave essential things you need unpacked but organized until you're ready to tear-down e.g. primary often-used computers, etc. Label the boxes if you have more than three. (I hope this isn't redundant; if you already know all that stuff, sorry for the unsolicited advice.)
My ear is open if you wish to vent.
