Hey all,
Just wanted to give everyone a quick heads up on the state of things as we move into the new year. In short, it's going slower than I'd like, but things should begin to pick up as the year goes on.
It's been a general rule that I shut production down after Halloween to clear my schedule for the holidays (which for me are usually hectic in that everyone is running around like lunatics, and I'm just trying to either avoid going to prison for giving someone their Darwin award, or trying to keep up with my responsibilities around the house) but now that the holidays are over, and I've had a cup or two of coffee, SFS is back open, and ready for commissions.
As such I have a wonderful announcement to make! I am now taking commissions for not only the laser etchings, but also for completely customizable chainmail jewelry! I have at present a total of 21 different kits (23 counting duplicates) from Weave Got Maille to serve as samples once I get around to posting pictures of them.
All are fully customizable in terms of colors and placement (i.e. bracelets can be made as necklaces, and ear rings and pendants as keychains etc.) They are sized to fit the individual (and if bought for a child can be altered to fit as they grow up) and in the case of necklaces can be made as long or short as you want.
At present everything is in the latter stages of planning, so prices for the kits aren't set in stone as of yet, but I am open to custom orders as well. Like the laser etchings, custom chainmail orders will be a process consisting of design specs and sizing. Basically anything worn on the hands, ankles, ears, head, or around the neck is fair game, and I have more than two dozen different weaves, and colors, and countless sizes of rings (as well as dragon/mermaid scales) available to me to make your piece one of a kind.
Keep in mind that product sample pictures are coming, I just need to get a bit of time between cleaning up the property and working on other (still secret) 3d Design/Printing prototypes that—if they work as intended—will be used as promotional products while I work on researching what I need to do (licensing and permits) to sell them.
