PaladinD-Boy's Art Challenge - Feel free to try it!
PaladinD-Boy (formerly MaverickHunterDBoy) has a great idea for all of you.
It’s not a commission, per se (some commission prices might be just a tad over his budget), and not so much a request than it is a suggestion (so don’t feel too guilty of turning it down).
In fact, this is more to give artists out there a challenge that can really shatter any art blocks you might have.
If you prefer, you could think of this idea as a super-condensed version of the “100 Themes Challenge” in other art sites.
So... here’s the idea:
An anime-styled art of ten suntanned human girls, all nude (Barbie doll nudity, of course), all with their eyes closed, on each other’s shoulders, and arms spread for balance.
An example of what we mean:
Link to Wrytergirl’s Florafawns Grand Balancing Act to be an example: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/12793902/
For an example of a Barbie-doll nude human: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/27802824/
So, the scene is an open field at night, Milky Way arm in the sky (feel free to simplify things if you need to). Girl 1 (black hair) is on a unicycle; Girl 2 (brown hair) on Girl 1’s shoulders; Girl 3 (violet hair) on Girl 2’s shoulders; Girl 4 (indigo hair) on Girl 3’s shoulders; Girl 5 (blue hair) on Girl 4’s shoulders; Girl 6 (mint green hair) on Girl 5’s shoulders; Girl 7 (golden blonde hair) on Girl 6's shoulders; Girl 8 (orange-tan hair) on Girl 7’s shoulders; Girl 9 (red hair) on Girl 8’s shoulders; and finally Girl 10 (cotton candy pink hair) on Girl 9’s shoulders. All the girls are suntanned, naked (again, Barbie doll nudity—no naughty bits), their eyes closed, and their arms spread for balance. The arms spread for balance is an important part. (PaladinD-Boy says “I know that sounds anal-retentive, but that’s how I like my balancing acts, and that’s how I do them if/when I draw them myself.”)
Listed above is the default version. For “Variation A”, Girl 10 (the cotton candy pink haired girl at the top of the totem pole) also has freckles on her cheeks and breasts. “Variation B” has Girl 10 freckled, and all the girls singing a cute and upbeat song. “Variation C” just has the girls singing their cute song (minus the freckles for Girl 10).
Sailor Moon anime art style is preferred, but any bishoujo anime art style will work too. You can also do your own art style if you don’t feel confident/comfortable with the aforementioned art styles.
It’s understandable if you don’t want to (for instance, you only do commissioned art), so don’t feel guilty if you have to turn it down. If anything, this is meant to be a suggestion for those who want an extra challenge and/or something to REALLY shatter that artist’s block. (As stated earlier, if you want, you can think of it as a super-condensed version of the 100-Theme Challenge).
But suppose you aren’t able to do (only doing commissioned work, not sure of your own skill, etc.), yet you yourself would love to see this idea come to life. Well, then, just signal boost this journal to invite others to try it!
That being said—you wanna take the challenge?!
