My thoughts on video game development, as of December 2025!

My stance on making arcade video games:
While I have NOTHING against the idea? If I MUST make REAL arcade video games? Keep those as small starter projects with video game engines that I use, one per engine. Why? I can explain.
In the United States, ALMOST NO INDEPENDENT BUSINESS SEEMS TO BE INTERESTED IN GOOD VIDEO ARCADE GAME MACHINES...except for bars, which SUCKS. (And most of the "family friendly" video arcades are garbage ones that treat minors in general like BABIES!)
To make such video games for arcades? I would use motherboards of obsolete modern PC hardware, to create dedicated arcade video game boards that are sold at cheap but reasonable prices, due to there NOT being a proper modern equivalent of the Neo Geo that's allowing you to easily make cartridges for it at home! (That way, people can simply make the cabinets themselves, and get the controller parts to go with it.)
The BEST direction for video game development:
Instead, I should invest my money on making new FREE ONLINE VIDEO GAMES, where people can make money off NOTHING but ads! (Half the money from ads goes to me and my company, when I start a company, while the other half of the money from ads goes towards the OWNERS of dedicated video game servers!)
I'm aware that "bot accounts" and "ad farms" are a potential problem, but that is where I would hire MODERATORS to help out with the said video game...that way, all bot accounts and all server accounts that are made as ad farms would be DELETED! (As there are two types of accounts, for public; gamer accounts, and server accounts.)
I'll leave no spoilers, but to get inspiration? I'll first need to look for video games that are underlooked, and with genres forgotten about, in the video game industry. (That's because I DO NOT want anyone stealing my ideas for their OWN projects, just so they can make money off the EXACT video game ideas, INSTEAD of me!)
