I think that's only fair, if a man wants to be. More to the point, I think anyone who wishes to be, should be, and responsibility and consent to be established but spoken for. Bodily autonomy, choice and personal possibility is one of the most important things a person includes in their birthright.
I also think I'd make a great Mumma-Dad, when my finances and environs would be adequate and healthy for a younger living-foster or cub to have a parent in me and have our home together; I would ask them what they want, how they wish to make themselves happy and whole, what resources they need to pursue their dreams. I would show them the manners I've learned, provide the resource of my experience, and establish reasonable limits of respect in space and behaviour I would expect them to adhere to, but never stray from them myself to make sure we know we're on the level and equals in that mutual respect.
I'd help them find out what foods they like and don't like, and take them to the library and places like local art stores, bookstores, even comic stores for the first time, but in any or all cases ask them first before we go and put it clearly and plainly to them what we'd find there. If they don't wish it we don't go to any of them, aside from perhaps the library- a public library, I might add- where I would ask them to at least stay and browse for a short while, knowing how important libraries were to my personal growth and establishment.
