Scraps or main gallery?
a year ago
Hey breasties! it's been years since the last time I wrote a journal entry here holy moly. I don't even know if you guys are gonna read this but I have a question for you all.
I want to start posting my character designs/concept art to Fur Affinity but since they're usually on the sketchy side (here's an example) I was wondering if you think I should post them on Scraps directly? or maybe post the on the main gallery and the scrap later?
Would love to hear your thoughts.
Thank you all for your time and support <3

Honestly it's typically just to the artist's preference if they feel the need to organize their work or not. Scraps or a new folder specifically for unfinished or lower scale doodles would be perfectly fine if you feel the need to organize your work. If you're looking to keep your completed work front and center, then scraps would help bury those doodles a bit. If you think those doodles are still a good showing of your artistic capabilities, then main gallery it is!

A folder for better organization, and to facilitate for the rest of us to see them, would be the minimum. Scraps only if you, and only you, consider that those sketches shouldn't share the spotlight with your other work. And, in that case, I don't see as a bad thing to put the designs a month or two in your main gallery before scrapping. 🤔

Main gallery under a folder sounds like a good idea considering their doodles don't look out of place with their other work. I think manually swapping doodles to scraps after a time would become tedious. ^^;

Indeed, but that would be only in the case he considers that a) that work should not be mixed; b) a brief greater visibility of that content is worth it. In any scenario, at least, a good folder organization can make the difference for a better browsing. 😛

I'm leaning towards scraps for sketchy stuff, but you do what you feel is best!

You can always put them in scraps, and have them in a different folder/s you can still click in the gallery.

I noticed the cock is the most detailed part of the image. If you put the same emphasis on the entire work, it would not need to ever go into scraps.
