Obviously created with a lot of digital compositing; the high contrast black & white and the endless snowy fields probably made it easy to almost "rubber stamp" armies of beavers onscreen.
I've only seen the trailer so far, but it looks head & shoulders above "Silent Movie" or "The Artist"'s attempts to recapture the magic of those pre-sound movies. (And it's still a crime "The Artist" got the Best Picture Oscar over Scorsese's "Hugo," a MUCH better film looking at cinema's early days!)
Saw this last year, and it is WELL worth the watch. One of my favorite films of last year. If you get a live showing with the filmmakers, you are in for a treat.
