Cape stuff is what I like
One idea for a future story could be one where he lets his cape flutter in a strong wind and the rhythmic undulations of the cloth are what hypnotize the prey

Although I’m a cape enjoyer too, wind stuff was never my cup of tea tbh. I’m much more a fan of heavy drooping satin, even more so when it’s used to bind or envelop. I do still use its shiny red for hypnosis though :>

Maybe soul play? Like for examples pulling it out and turn the victim into an obedient puppet. What happens to the soul itself is completely up to you. Whether it is consumed for power, turned into luxurious jewelry or kept imprisoned somewhere doesn’t matter much to me. I just think it’s a cool concept to explore.

Hmmm that does sound interesting! Ohhhhh I like the idea of using a staff with two eye shaped gems, maybe it transfixes the subject, hypnotizes them then sucks out the soul through their eyes into the staff. They become said obedient puppet who mindlessly obeys the holder of the staff, it becomes everything to them~

I like it! A soul sucking magical artifact is always interesting.

Hard to pick a favorite- I think Spellbound is cheating since it has art baked into it. Always fun to have imagery.

Otherwise, there’s a lot of great two or more parters with reoccurring characters.

I’m absolutely a sucker for hypnotized hypnotist, or otherwise hypnotized top. Vampire bird is usually a hit, the soulplay someone mentions is definitely something I’ve found fun on occasion. Bats and birds are something I’m also a sucker for. Not so into nulges but that seems to be a minority opinion.

For things to explore, there’s always room to spin the wheel of fetish and see what makes a good sauce for a hypnotic dish. Or perhaps mixing up the setting, power level (what happens when fey or minor deities come to town?), or premise (for lack of a better term). Maybe accidents happen, and suddenly a thrall is in charge or left in control of master’s body (sucker for reversal too, I guess).

And yes, I’d absolutely consider commissions. It’s hard to find good authors compared to artists!

Experimenting with mind control methods you haven’t tried before or using them in different ways is also a possibility.
