Do you guys think fuzzy dragons have scales underneath that fur or is it like a faux-lizard kinda thing

Then I suppose I'd choose fuzzy dragons *with* scales underneath!
... I think that means they'd have to shave in the summer and have a whole new look
Dragons with fur could just be mammals instead of reptiles
But to answer I think it would be the fur is attached like normal fires animals
Just the fur and skin are more sturdy and fireproof
Probably like the underside of a crocodile but with smaller plates with the fur coming out between the gaps in the plates
For dragons that are primarily scaled and just have tuffs of fur (like, chest fur or head fur, or furry tails), I imagine scales being all over the body and the fur that is shown is merely fur growing through gaps in the scales.
For full-body completely furred "dragons", it's just skin, no scales at all (though that enters the debate on whether or not they classify as dragons at all, but that's a maaaasssive can of worms that you could spend days arguing about, because I'm sure "mammal with wings and fire breath" doesn't have the same ring to it).
it doesn't make much sense to me that fur is growing from scales.
