i can not really say that bluesky works better then twitter and with the floodgates open, it will soon be as corrupted as twitter/X....
and sadly, its hard for smaller artists to gain any traction there...

Yes and no.

The same people spouting the same shenanigans are going to appear regardless of the site it's self. That's Social media in a nutshell. However, the difference is that the algorithm doesn't work the same, meaning the ONLY way they showup for you, is if you:
> Don't curate your feeds at all, which is damning in general given how insanely massive the internet is.
> Directly engage with people, as the only way the "alorithm" will feed you this is if you genuinely engage or someone else you follow directly engages.

Mute/hide works well. Otherwise I haven't seen any bullshit. Just furry art and talk about furry stuff almost exclusively XD. The catch is I heavily curate my feeds.
Just on the algorithm alone proves that, to some capacity, they did learn from their mistakes. I think social media is just a shitshow in general and without some curating and hard boundaries you'll always be miserable. I also say this after using twitter hardly at all for those very reasons, but bluesky by comparison has been a stroll in the park XD. I have no love for twitter in the slightest and don't really have a horse in the race in that regard!

I'd second this. In my personal experience, Bluesky shows me a completely different world than twitter. Twitter=stress despite constant blocks and mutes and # blocking etc. Bluesky=just what I want to see. Furry/Art/etc. No drama.

Correct! The algorithm on Twatter boosts ANYTHING that gets attention and does NOT filter out any "negative" attention from positive. Ragebait is EXTREMELY engaging because we're all meatsuits piloted by an electrified monkey meatsoup. We are all easily baited , even when we know it's bait. Brain works like that because when we ran from tigers and lions and bear those things would keep us alive. Sushi knows this I'm sure <3.

BSKY doesn't use this algorithm pattern ,which currently I think most of the social media in existence uses a twitter style algorithm. Because more eyes and views is almost always more money and the type of attention doesn't matter if all you want is eyes and money XD!
