Yes, i believe everyone should have the same opportunities regardless of their wealth.
Everyone should be treated fairly.
Everyone has the right to food, shelter, and healthcare.
I believe everyone has the right to love and marry whatever consenting adult they choose.
Everyone's gender and identity is their own business, no one gets to tell them whether they're right or wrong, and i believe no law should prevent them from being who they are or who they want to be.
I believe a person's uterus is theirs alone, and that goes for what's inside it too, if they no longer wish for it to be there.
I really don't see how anyone can argue with these things. It should be basic stuff... that's why it's human rights. They should be universal.

Teach kindness and compassion, none of this 'let bigots be bigots' because now we have a fascist as president-elect in America because of that kind of mentality.
As long as it doesn't devolve into "We do not tolerate intolerant people."
because that would make one quite the hypocrite.
Compassion through understanding, understanding through education is definitely the way to go. I haven't seen any textbooks or anything but I can definitely see that in some cases the ideology and information is force fed to people. This shouldn't be the case either. Present the information as all other information is presented, and let the recipient formulate their own opinions, or the backlash from angry people would simply negate the whole point of education.
Hm. Okay, whatever you say, Boris.
By the way, people tend to become less bigoted the more educated they are (actual education, not propagandized by Facebook memes and Joe Rogan) and the more exposure they have to a diverse group of people.
"Transgenders" reduces them to an object.
That's different than a person's preferred pronouns. That's an individual thing.
Similarly, "they are wrong" is dangerous to have, because it means you have already ruled out all possibility of understanding. of finding common ground to work towards. It will take effort from both sides to mend anything.
I will say this though, with social media and news polarizing people for engagement, it is most definitely a tall task. Its much easier to blindly hate than to put effort into understanding. Best of luck to ya'll.
If they did, this would have all been a non-issue. It wouldn't be a huge looming threat to various different communities.
You're not "making sure both sides are stated," you're stating a completely non-existent fantasy that people who hold hate beliefs aren't going to believe that it's right to act on those beliefs. Of course they're going to want to act on them. If they thought it wasn't okay to hate people, they wouldn't hate in the first place. And if they DO think it's okay, then by extension they think acting on it is justified. You can't pretend that belief and action are somehow magically separable.
Having people who won't interact is harmful when those are people you have to interact with to be able to have the ability to do things people should have a right to do (have housing, get a job, get education, etc.).
"As long as you don't do it under my roof" is extremely harmful if it turns out that people with that view own most of the roofs around, including the ones you have to work and live under.
This is just the idea of pretending "separate but equal" is ever actually equal, or ever actually fair. It isn't. It can't be.
But with RFK Jr. in charge of HHS, there will definitely be another pandemic. So my advice to everyone is to put back into practice your social distancing and home-secluding habits now so we'll outnumber them in 2028 after the next wave of truck morgues are filled to the brim with red hats.
Yeah, my mom had polio when she was a kid. You don't want that. Or a certified nutjob like Kennedy in charge of the Health Department.
And the fact that Drumpf would give him that assignment is appalling.
Which they should already know is not the case. That was supposed to be the light at the end of the Covid tunnel: That the decrease in population would lead to a decrease in demand, and with it, price reductions, especially for housing.
Instead, a very rich few snapped up all those extra houses, took most of them off the market completely and jacked up the prices on the rest. And instead of lower-priced goods and better-paying jobs, we got "supply chain" price hikes and "nobody wants to work" signs in the windows.
But these are generally the lowest hanging fruit of the entire human race -- the people who flunked out of high school, got fired from even the deadest of dead-end jobs, and now the shit they were born with is literally all they've got.
When you press the big red button, there is no going back, or it is extremely difficult to unpress it.
The moment someone makes you feel like a hero when you hate or are cruel to a person, it changes you. Cruelty is necessary to human predator nature. We need to kill, protect, and be intimidating. When we are, it fills us with serotonin, validating that our choices and actions are the correct ones. That doesn't apply with modern day society, and modern intelligence should override this with common sense and basic polite decency revolving around the agreed upon social contracts.
Unfortunately, there are those that "drink the Kool-Aid" and get sucked into certain groups of like-minded individuals. It only festers from there because they develop an "us and them" mentality, resulting in a subsequent "right and wrong" according to their opinion. This seeds deeply into the innate instinct of tribalism we all have. To solve a "wrong" would mean to them they'd be a hero. This validation can start when they are told they are doing the right thing, or someone important validates and praises their actions. It can be set on as early as grade school with bullies, or with aggressive sports like Football and Wrestling. It doesn't apply to everyone though. We can be taught to not press the big red button, and it's easy to have empathy or sportsmanship. In most cases, respect and acceptance, and minding your own business.
The best way to avoid all this is to not press the big red button, and to not do that, all you need to do is have common sense. Easier yet, knowing about the big red button improves your chances of being a decent person. So never press the big red button.
And we're surrounded by them...
gl with all of that
That's why you lost. When you live in an echo chamber, and any disagreement is considered heresy, you can't understand any other viewpoints. You believe yourself to be 100% morally right and think anyone who disagrees with you is evil. You refuse to listen to anyone else, and it's a cult.
-We should focus on building a strong economy in order for the country to survive.
-Illegal immigration is harming American society. It only benefits the ultra-rich who want cheap labour.
-Crime is rampant in Democrat-run cities, and they're ignoring it.
-The government is trillions in debt, and needs to save money.
-This overspending is causing inflation, which is making it harder for the average citizen to afford to live.
-Government censorship (under the guise of "hate speech") is bad.
-Citizens have the right to defend themselves from criminals and from tyranny.
-Kamala Harris was a puppet candidate propped up by the DNC (without being elected in the Primaries) who couldn't make it through a single interview without fumbling it.
Democrats don't care about any of this. And Democrat propaganda machine ignored all these issues, instead focusing on one thing: the lie that Trump and his supporters hate you and want you dead. At no point did he ever say he'll ban abortions or execute gay/trans people. He didn't call neo-Nazis good people, he explicitly condemned them. But since Democrats influence the vast majority of traditional and social media, the only thing people heard about him was negative. And since leftists don't stray out of these insulated propaganda bubbles, they don't know they were lied to.
"Crime is rampant...." That's a right-wing fiction, and absolutely laughable that anybody could still believe it in the face of actual statistics. But Republicans don't let facts get in the way of a good fear campaign.
"Trillions in debt..." the largest chunk of which was run up by the very stable genius who was just re-elected.
"Inflation..." was a worldwide affliction caused by the pandemic. Decisive action helped shield the USA from the worst effects of it, and it is currently in the process of correcting. Other countries had much worse inflation than the USA. But that will be NOTHING compared to the price hikes that will be seen when 200% tariffs are implemented. Expect everything to immediately get 2X-5X more expensive. But, of course, that's technically taxes, not "inflation" so I'm sure you'll be fine with that.
"Government censorship..." Another right-wing exaggeration, and the Trump administration was much more draconian about attacking free speech online. Expect that to be expanded to government censorship of mainstream journalism that dares to criticize the upcoming administration, as Trump has promised MANY times.
"Right to defend themselves... Tyranny." this is such a pathetically ignorant joke, it's not even worth dignifying it with a response. Nobody who ever says this has flexed a single brain cell to comprehend what it actually means in practical terms. What you're talking about is exactly what happened with Trump being shot at by someone who judged him to be a tyrant. Is that what you advocate as being every citizen's right?
"Puppet candidate..." sheer, unadulterated conspiracy nonsense. Vance was also not "elected in the primaries" yet he is directly in line to be president behind an obese, dementia-riddled, senior citizen. Why do you not find THAT intolerable?
Thanks, though, for illustrating how successful the decades of right-wing propaganda have been in warping the minds of an entire generation to the point that they are incapable of distinguishing facts from fantasy.
i don't disagree that there are plenty of republican voters who do so for "the economy!!!" or whatever, not out of hate specifically. but truly putting that above human rights makes me question your morals. You're not a good person if you don't give a shit about anyone else and only care about your bank account.
A lot of the stuff you mentioned here is blatantly false. crime is not any more rampant in "democrat run cities" than anywhere else. that's just idiotic. Illiegal immigration is not a very big issue, despite what your media tells you in order to stoke your hatred of brown people. Who's going to pick vegetables and shit if you get rid of immigrants? i don't see you or people like you wanting to do that. Frankly none of us do. immigrants, legal or not, are a vital part of our economy. They deserve better than the jobs that we don't want, but this is capitalism, so that's how that works. If they didn't do it, no one would. Illegal immigrants are certainly not taking the jobs that people want.
If you hate immigrants being here illegally, improve the avenues for them to become legal. Immigration is a fact of life, it cannot be stopped. A reasonable government would try to work with it, rather than vilify it.
You claim censorship is bad, yet the right is working hard to censor LGBTQ media in every place where it shows up. Libraries and schools especially. And if you all had your way, it would be illegal. So you want hate speech to be acceptable, because you think everyone is entitled to their opinion or something, yet you want trans people to suffer alone and repressed because they think there's something wrong with them and don't have access to resources and literature that reassures them they're okay. Suicide rates among trans people are very high because of this. But you clearly would rather pay a dollar less for eggs than care.
Fuck you.
In summary, they believe in a misguided righteousness that nobody asked for
Those are the kinds of people that don't deserve to have kids... I can't even wrap my head around that amount of uncaring...
It is all about hate, greed, and sometimes envy.
No reasonable person will soon lead the USA.
I and many others are going to be out of work because of this decision. It will directly affect the furry community. It's disgusting to think that some of you would rather elect a rapist, racist, and Russian asset over someone with actual experience just because she's PoC and a woman. You'd rather have cheaper eggs than guarantee basic human rights (and it's not like prices are going to go down anyways!) I'm barely hanging on and I know a lot of others feel the same.
I don't want my friends to hurt themselves but I know it's hard when the majority of our country just told us "fuck you." I'm so scared and it's beginning to feel like the only way out.
I hope you and your friends and loved ones are doing okay right now. Sending love your way. We tried, it just wasn't enough.
In 2019 I finally got to remove my THYROID after fighting tooth and nail with abysmal health. A long process to be sure, years in fact. On the surgery bed, the day of the fucking surgery to remove my thyroid after like 6 months of pre-requisites for JUST this surgery. The male doctor ON THE TABLE asked me if I had my husband's permission to remove my thyroid as it would impede child bearing.... On the table... preparing the sleeping drug. I still had to ask permission. ... About my own thyroid that almost successfully ended my life at 25 years old. I still haven't removed my uterus and now, the surgery I was 2 months away from to do just that, may be canceled due to politics. As it may, through legalese, be considered abortive..... No doctor wants to throw away their career for someone like me.
I literally cannot get pregnant in a meaningful way. And my life is absolutely wrecked by constant issues stemming mostly from this. This vote has very literally set me back for all this time... again. Possibly indefinitely if people choose to just roll over and give up.
I just want to be seen as a human adult and this fucking past 12 years has shown me the rest of the world REALLY doesn't want that.
Sorry to scream into the void on your post :<. You're at least sticking up for the right shit. Most of this fandom does and it sucks to know I'm alienated here too for some dumb art I draw XD. What a weird existence in every way.
Thanks for sticking up for basic decency tho. I appreciate you. For whatever that might mean.
These assholes just don't give a flying fuck about people. Thanks, patriarchy.
They even cloak this under the guise of being "Pro life"... What a bunch of fucking hypocrites.
I count myself extremely lucky that both dr and where I'm at in the country are both relatively progressive but its still extremely nerve-wracking, by the way things are going I feel like I'm getting in under the wire.
Due to PCOS I have hormonal/endocrine issues as well that will need to be addressed post hysterectomy and I'm still anxious that the next steps of my likely treatment will be impeded one way or another. I came from Texas and hearing about how terrible things have gotten for healthcare across the board there since I left last year makes me fear for the rest of the country.
I'm sick to my stomach every time someone says they think Trump will make life better- his appointments have already condemned countless Texans to needless death and suffering.
But you're not alone and we won't give up. Just because some evil bastards are doong everything they can to make life miserable and dangerous for people like you and others doesn't mean we won't fight to deny them the satisfaction of doing it. We'll all be here for each other.
I've never been a political person until 2016, but this shit has gone too far and I can't stand to see people that I care about and people who deserve to live a comfortable, safe, healthy life be denied it thanks to some bigoted idiots.
Just know you're not alone, Feathers
You're never alone.
if the world I knew is dead, it's time to commit necromancy.
Its no longer the time of (old) men, yet they think they still run things. Whys it have ro be sucha fight for a woman just to survive...we dont need permission to survive!
Even if the judge was lenient, and gave him less than the minimum on each count, he could still give Trump 20 years behind bars.
at the very least he should have been disqualified from running. "law and order!" screams the rabid right. my fucking ass...
because he literally is above the law.
This is America, where freedom reigns! You can have as much freedom as you can buy, including freedom from the law.
No. That was so naive... It's like the AIDS epidemic. They're afraid they'll catch it simply by standing next to a gay, and then they'll go to hell because they sure as fuck know they aren't good people so they just want every one else who's weird or different dead. To save their own hide. They don't give a damn about being good or Christian or neighborly.
But heaven forbid they can't control the price of gas or eggs. If only they elect THEIR guy, he'll press the magic button that makes the prices go down. That's worth a few million people dying and suffering, right?
You're still right though, both then and now. They're motivated by nothing but fear AND hatred.
And interesting you bring up AIDS... I was just wondering how so many young people could not bother to vote. They don't remember. So many were lost to AIDS. And I'm an older millennial, I was not part of the community through the worst of it but it only takes one look at the AIDS blankets, to read any of the stories, and realize how dire it was. But to those born after me, it might as well be ancient history. They don't even know what the country was like, what being an adult was like before Obergefell v. Hodges.
Do we really have to go back to the dark times before people realize that anything but a cold firm grip on their rights will get them ripped away?
The worst part about not remembering history is the slogan - Make America Great Again. ... but they don't want to say when that "great" was, or who's going to lose once we get there.
https://discover.hubpages.com/relig.....American-Jesus
American nationalists think their country is holy and free with every other stereotypical aspect of it like the eagle or the waving the flag. It would be funny if it wasn't so pathetic.
And if you don't agree, because of uh, *checks notes*, gas prices?
As a member of this site you should at least care about this part of the conservative plan.
"Pornography should be outlawed. The people who produce and distribute it should be imprisoned."- Project 2025, Foreword, PG.5
Now, you could make an argument that they were referring to the previous statements with those sentences, but let's be honest here, this is legalese, those are two full sentences with zero definitions or specificity. There is no wiggle room under the law, if it's classified as pornography, they are going to outlaw it, or at least try really fucking hard to. So, if what should be basic human rights doesn't sway you, maybe that will.
And if not, well we're all in this burning building together now. Don't claim to be a victim when folks turn on them whom are holding the matches.

Those guys really need a real hobby... and like, a hug from their moms or something
