Downsides:

Arcades get expensive, unless the owner has set the machines to "free play" mode.

Any time you get a bunch of strangers together, at least one will be a total scumbag.

There are few true arcades left and few people that want to spend much time at one. The arcades left also tend to be geared towards kids and maybe teens; Chuck E. Cheese ain't stocking Mortal Kombat 3 or House Of The Dead.

Upsides:

Anyone willing to play Magical Truck Adventure with you is probably very interesting.

Arcade on Valentines Day? I gotta remember that one, not a lot of arcades around anymore. Does sound pretty fun though, idk about meeting people through that though. ^.^

I would certainly consider it, but I'm terribly shy so it's hard for me to go out and meet people in general.
