Q & A - When AI art affects other people:
Is there anyone you know who is an artist and actually went back to doing traditional/hand-drawn artwork (or even more than before) because of AI's rampancy?
I'd like to hear your thoughts, y'all~

I cant do hand drawn because I cant take good pictures of it
I am not very good at drawing myself; but I am fascinated with the process - physical drawing by hand, digital drawing by hand, and AI-"drawing". From working and conversing with artists about their process, some have shared the entire spectrum of reactions:
a) One of my acquaintances went back purely to hand-drawing. This person has experienced higher demand for their art.
b) Four acquaintances quit taking commissions, because AI competition reduced their income from art. They had to find a job to sustain themselves; and with less time to devote to art, it is now merely a hobby for their own personal enjoyment.
c) Four acquaintances reported that they have actually incorporated AI into their own work. Some have experimented with drawing their own line art and having it colored by AI. Others drew and colored their characters, but then used AI to create backgrounds.
d) The vast majority of acquaintances simply continue to draw in whichever techniques they have been pursuing up to this point. They continue to develop their awesome skills, occasionally incorporate a new tablet/computer or a new drawing software, but primarily focus on their own process and do not worry too much about AI.
The consensus appears to be that true artistry (digital or hand drawn) is, for the time being, still superior to AI's creations; and true connoisseurs will be able to tell the difference and support living artists correspondingly.
Blessings!
