Stop Xenophobia

Putin's invasion is absolutely criminal and must be resisted, but I feel that too many people associate his actions with that of the Russian people as a whole.
I'm acquaintances with a few Russians and they are kind people. Indeed one of them had offered words of support to a Ukrainian refugee but was flamed due to the actions of the Putin administration.
Not only is it morally wrong to discriminate against the entire population of a country for the actions of its government, but in this case xenophobia is playing directly into Putin's hands: https://cepa.org/article/russia-the.....orld-hates-us/
To borrow phrasing from MLK: we should judge a person (Russian or otherwise) not by the land on which they were born, but by the contents of their hearts.
