RIP Akira Toriyama (1955-2024)
General
I have just seen that Akira Toriyama, the creator of Dragon Ball and others such beloved manga/anime series as Dr. Slump, Sand Land, Neko Majin and others passed away a few days ago on March 1 at the age of 68 apparently from an acute hematoma sustained by head injury, and it is only now reaching within wider circles of the web now. Needless to say, i have no words. As a Dragon Ball fan this is a major shocker to now see, and it will be kind of weird to see future DB projects not having his personal touch going forward. Still, it goes without saying that in those 68 years he rose to become one of the most well known manga artists in history, standing alongside such greats as Osamu Tezuka, Tatsuo Yoshida and inspiring several generations of future mangakas. Along with having many of his series' immortalized in anime, both full and one shot alike.
RIP Toriyama-sensei, you will be forever remembered for the legacy of your manga/anime contributions both in your homeland and abroad along with the inspiration that they have brought to many generations.

Still, the man's a legend but particularly due to Dragon Ball. He's made lots of manga/anime but that will be what everyone most remembers him for.
