V'rk Fyr'rnalhl's escape

Dear grimoire,
As I predicted, Lord Roham couldn't resist cheating during the battle. Preventing their champion from dying at the hands of mine, they were entirely focused on the fight. I almost regret having used Hageshiiomo as a diversion in this way, but I have to admit that he acted as I expected, his notion of honour still deeply rooted in him. Perfect bait for this god who is stingy with power and suffering.
However, I have to admit that this trial kept my full attention. I have not been able to continue publishing my pages as I intended. It may be some time before I unveil any new incantations, as events are rather hectic.----
-You cheat-AH !
The oni wanted to protest against this shameful deception, but the beast prevented him from continuing. Exhausted on his side, he didn't see many alternatives to this fight.
-It must be your Corruption that's making you see things, my friend ! I hope you like this arena, you'll be a fun entertainment for centuries to come !
The crowd roared with joy and motivated the beast.
-Remember the rules. advised the shadow from the stands.
Indeed, the demon might still have a trick or two up his sleeve. Or more precisely, in his necklace.
Moving away from the beast as best he could, he touched an orb and a soft light surrounded him: an aegis that would help him absorb the blows. The second orb he touched was the one containing his sword. He now had something to respond to the monster and resist him a little longer.
The Owlverlord knew their enemy well, as well as the temple city. Roham's cheating was the signal the masked owl was waiting for to act. It spread its matter in a filament that followed the floor and walls, speeding its way to the very depths of the temple. Aware of what was around it, even stretched like that, it found a closed cell guarded by some sort of patient angler. The Void wire sliced him in half and then found its way into the lock of the door.
The twins were there, in a sorry state.
It passed its void through the shadows of the two ogres. Just as it had done to gain access to the Twins, the owl-shadow stretched a thread towards Hageshiiomo, hiding in the sand of the arena to reach his shadow. Its voice then came from three different places : under Hageshiiomo, behind the Twins and next to Roham.
-Lord Roham, it has been a pleasure, but I have won this challenge.
-Wha-
The owl didn't give them time to ask for more as it used its Void magic to absorb the three oni and disappear back to the manor.
-Cursed little vermin, insignificant orphan... Well done. I'll leave them to you this time, but believe me, you'll be mine too.
