Tentative public [sketch] commissions
I've mentioned meaning to offer commissions publicly I think, a few times before now. I'm not a stranger to doing paid work, but it's largely something I've done in small discord channels and with friends, and setting up something that could work outside that has generally been a backburner thing for me (reason: sleepy).
Right now I think I'm in a position where I think I can finally offer this stuff here comfortably, with pencil/ink sketches to start, and then maybe more if I feel like it. My commission form is HERE.
I'm gonna be using Artistree for this - one of my main reasons that I've held off on selling comms public is because I have to do a lot of non-artist things that to be honest, I'd rather not do - like write invoices, or make price sheets, or communicate with clients through my discord account (which should be for friends!) and artistree handles all that on their end and organises for me.
I've only been using it for a little bit (which is another reason I'm only doing sketches at the moment!) but it seems to all work pretty good for me so far. I should note that unlike invoicing systems it takes processing fees from the client rather than the seller, so if you're buying it's slightly more expensive than the listed price (from what I've asked previous clients $35USD works out to about a little under 40 on their end). The upside to that though is I get 100% of the listed price. It also does do tips, but these are after the work is actually finished.
If you're reading this you probably have a good idea of what kinda stuff I draw, and I've even posted a bunch of sketches in my gallery recently that'll give you a good idea of what you'll get. I should also note that that this isn't just strictly for robot stuff! I'm completely fine with regular pinups, too. Either way - it doesn't require payment until I've accepted your idea, so you're free suggest things that I might not have done before!
If I find that this system works for me down the line, I'll probably open up that full colour option at some point. I might also put an ad (price sheet? idk what else to call) it in my gallery at some point, though it's not something I'd like to do that often - my goal for this is a lot more casual than I think I'd need that for I think.
One other thing - if you have any questions about this I haven't covered, feel free to ask in the comments or send me a note or w/e, and I'll do my best to find out.
