lot of art thieves are scammers, if you don't know the original artists and the thief pretends to be open for commissions, they receive payments and disappear
Always look for art inconsistency in galleries to bust scammers, they will often steal art from many different artists at the same time

that's why it's dangerous, for the potential commissioner AND the original artist

This is terrible! Correct me if I'm wrong but I think instagram only allows the owners of those artworks to claim them however. You should try contacting some of those other artists whose works got stolen and everyone file a copyright claim! I hope things get resolved soon! *HUGS*
