Custom commission news

Hey peeps!
I want to try to come back to art. I really want to. But I struggle finding motivation. I thought about doing commissions for a while now - but I came to one conclusion:
I (probably) won't be taking any more custom commissions.
(There are a few peeps i will get back to, but speaking of the future here.)
While I liked the idea of drawing what others people want to see visualized, I... often find myself faced with art-blocks the moment I *need* to draw something specific because someone paid for it.
Also, there have been people in the past asking for weird NSFW content that i felt uncomfortable with. And just having to deal with the situation and saying "no" is very uncomfortable for me as i am a people pleaser. Denying requests is always hard for me - so I think I will refrain offering custom commissions altogether.
I will focus trying on YCHs and artistic freedom commissions, if anything. Probably more YCHs though. Maybe. Honestly, first I have to get into the mood of drawing again first and foremost. But then i think I will step back in my offerings and concentrate on the things I work comfortably with.

I think with the coming YCHs I will adjust my prices a little (to make them a bit more affordable). I saw commissions plummeting last year. This year I havent been open for commissions yet, but with the economy crumbling as it is, I dont think many of *my* customers can afford my prices. So yeah.

Wie ging es dir denn letztes Jahr mit meiner Song Commission? Würdest du so etwas noch annehmen?
And yes, in my case, art is a hobby. One that I really want to pick up again. But I just find it hard to draw something that doesn't come from my own mind. And I just face myself not wanting to draw at all when i have a commission open that i dont want to do at the time.
