Looking for feedback
Howdy y'all,
I don't want to be a downer here, but I've been struggling a bit lately as I've been experimenting and trying to pin down my artistic voice. So I've been wondering:
What do y'all like about my art?
I've been embarrassed to ask. I don't want to come across egocentric. But knowing what y'all are seeing that resonates with you might help me see the bigger picture and what's working.
I appreciate any feedback, no matter how small. If you see this and don't have anything to say, I still appreciate you giving this a look, and I hope you're havin' a good day.

On top of that, the dynamic lighting you often attempt in those same sketches as well as other general pieces is quite enjoyable. You can hit a wide variety of 'feelings' to a pic that really helps personify the mood the image is going for and help push it further. The expressions you often give to the characters you portray make the piece, especially since I know how hard that can be for some artists. I also enjoy the occasion style you do where it's more simple and cartoony [X]? Even using a simple shading layer and a rim light can really make a piece just look good overall.
I can definitely feel the struggle to find your voice in art and I hope you are able to achieve it and find something that really makes you happy. I hope I gave some insight on what I personally enjoy from your art, as well as the few examples I gave [didn't wanna spam so I just pick a few I felt were really good at explaining what I meant].
I really appreciate what you said about lighting, expression, feeling and mood. Pushing all that stuff is a big part of what I've been looking at lately. I've really been wanting to create work that has an atmosphere to it. Finding the balance where it can be a bit moody, but also sexy and fun has been a hard balance to strike though.
I appreciate hearing what you enjoy. Thank you so much for sharing your insight, and for giving specific examples. It's been a bit rocky feeling pulled in a bunch of different directions, but I guess learning more about myself is also a part of what makes the art journey so rewarding. I just gotta get out of my own head sometimes. Thanks again :)
It's good that you've done such a vast variety of art so you can discover what you most enjoy during the art process! Or even found the stepping stone to find what you like drawing in a general sense, but I get it if you're still feeling lost. I recall you mentioning on Bluesky about changing up what you draw iirc. There may be more styles to try out or even themes to tap into, but once you find out what about art brings you joy that's what it's good to aim for! Drawing what you love should be first, and those who love it will follow~
It's absolutely the journey we all take as artists, and I hope you find it <3 | I'll be excited to see what it will be!
I did mention wanting to change up what I draw a bit before. There are things I want to bring into my art more, and I'm still figuring out how. It's been a real puzzle. You're advice was really good, then, too. Telling me to pursue what I enjoy, and being willing to let my audience change to fit that, really helped me give myself permission to loosen up a bit, even if I have a way to go, haha.
Thanks for always being there, and encouraging me to find my path ^_^
I love your art, it's really well executed and you're good at a wide variety of styles too. You have a flexibility that is perhaps a bit of a rare trait.
I swear I've been watching you for a long time now. Honestly, I forgot how long for. I swore it was longer than before 2017, but you're actually newer to the scene than I thought. But your art has enamoured me for a long time now.
I've always worried that the variety I had made me less accessible, being less consistent and harder to pin down with one recognizable aesthetic. It's uplifting to hear it seen as a strength.
Thank you so much for sharing. I've appreciated seeing you in my streams since I was just getting started in the fandom. It means a lot to still see you here, and to hear that my work has kept your interest for all these 7 years :)
