Totality.

I saw it. I witnessed totality for the first time during the Great North American Eclipse on April 8, 2024. It was by far the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Every penny spent on fuel, hotel rooms, and takeout was worth it, just to see those few short minutes of totality.
I have no clue how anyone would choose to miss a total solar eclipse. Seeing totality made me realize how disconnected humanity is from nature and the universe around us. There are people out there that will get the chance to see nature's greatest sights, and just think "meh, I'd rather be at work making money or at home gaming." That is honestly sad. I even saw articles about how the eclipse's passing will "damage the economy with lost productivity." WHO CARES??? A very rare and very beautiful celestial event happened, and people would rather care about MONEY or "tHe eCOnOmY." God forbid people enjoy something that nature and the universe gives us for FREE. While I'm glad I got to see it, ultimately it did somewhat give me a stronger outlook on life. All I can say is, see a total solar eclipse before you die. And no, "99% totality" doesn't exist. You NEED to be in the path in order to see the full effect. 99% is not good enough. The difference is quite literally day and night. More eclipses are coming. Get to the path. See the most beautiful thing nature gives us.
