First and foremost, 'Throttled' is my entry in 2024's EntrancingAwards! Please go check out their journal regarding all entries, and how you can vote. There are a lot of entries this year (over 50!), and the love and care put into each one is palpable. Welp, March did not go as anticipated lol... I'm not apologizing, because life is very busy right now. I have the final document en route, and once it arrives I can literally hop aboard the next flight and start my new life in Germany. The only problem is I still have to tend to my cat's relocation, and finish packing my stuff lol... so, we're almost there. But if all goes as expected I'll be in the air the first week of May.
Beyond that, I have been learning more and more art. As many have noticed, I began a considerable journey in teaching myself how to draw, and color, and while I still have a long way to go I am thoroughly enjoying myself. I don't plan to turn into an artist as one might expect, though. At least not anytime soon (not shying away from future possibilities lol). I wanted to learn to draw so I could bring my fursona's reference sheet to life, and be able to create my own book covers. But as I'm learning a new goal arose: a comic. I'm excited about the idea, and have been taking extensive notes for how I want the story to go. That is something to look forward to once I feel confident in my artistry, and find my style for the comic I have in mind. I'll share more details about it as things become more realized, but I highly doubt this is something I'd start creating in 2024 beyond my planning and sketches lol
Also, those I've yammered on about it to privately? Shhhhhh lol ... though others might piece together what I'm intending anywho ;D
So, yeah, beyond writing and submitting 'Throttled' in for the contest, March has been creative, but privately so for now since I'm developing my drawing and coloring skills instead of actively writing. I've been releasing a few little sketches here and there, but I'm still in the stages where I'm learning how to draw faces and expressions. I feel I have a good handle on bodies, but wanting to draw faces that don't look like derp memes lol...
Once I've moved, and I've settled in, and we've married (We picked out our wedding rings! Can't wait to show them off!), and our lives are settling in around July/August... that's when I plan to ramp things up again, get through the rest of my Remasters, get into 'Assimilation' writing, start accepting commissions again, and launch Patribestar. I'll likely look to Patreon for writing as I feel more assured to release my content there... I would be redirecting to a Discord server I'm planning on having. However, I feel I'll be releasing my intended comic on Subscribestar, because I just don't see a plausible way around that lol ... but those are Future Me concerns.
And, of course, we have Eurofurence plans come September! Already booked it up, and picking out some cool clothes for the cyberpunk theme hehehe ... if you're going, let me know! Would love to meet folks!
Anywho, that's enough out of me for now. Thank you for the support, faves, watches, sharing my stuff with friends, and especially the 'are you accepting commissions' inquiries lol... even though I have to let you know I'm not currently and when I expect to be, I'm deleriously flattered that people want to commission me. Please look forward to July/August when I expect to be back in business again.
