I somehow never could get warm with the Meccha genre. While I think smaller robot characters can be quite fun and endearing, the big armor types that just fire missiles and basically are humanoid tanks, plus the sci-fi settings they tend to be in just give me the idea of a futuristic war story and it all rarely ever catches me. <X3
There is that cute show called "Tonari No Yokai-san" which features a world in that Humans and Yokai coexist peacefully (most of the time) and it's quite fascinating to see all the characters in that bit of a Slice of Life and Iyashikei portrayal. Simply a friendly, cute and sometimes emotional display of families in the countryside of Japan as of the moment, sprinkled with that fantastical element. =3
