Mom is back home
Hi!
My mum is back home after heart coronary bypass surgery. She's not feeling that well right now, she's super exhausted, has problems with walking from room to the bathroom, has shortness of breath, can't sleep, I'd say it's basically insomnia at this point. It's hard right now. She's stressed and constantly crying, because she can't do a thing right now and I need to do everything for her (I'm not complaining, I'm happy to help) but it's also stressing me out af. I'm trying my best, but I'm so worried something will happen, my anxiety kicked in hard since she's back. I'm trying to be strong, but I'm afraid that if I leave to get groceries or something something will happen.
Did you or someone from your family had heart bypass surgery? How was the recovery? I know healing can take up to 6 months (or even more), but I checked lots of reddit posts and people are mostly ok after a week, or when leaving the hospital. It's not constant fatigue. I'm just afraid.
Also do not worry about the commissions, I've worked a bit this week, so I'll post some finished ones coming week and will send you WIPs.
Thank you again and love you,
fuvi

Didn't have heart bypass but did recently have a surgery on the 23rd that was considered 'major'. The first week and a half after my surgery I was knocked out from the anesthesia still working its way out of my system and the pain meds I was on. Side effects of meds can be a pain! The opioid I am on can either make me dizzy or knock me out - I've had a mix of one or the other or both from it, but more often than not it just puts me to sleep, and I let myself sleep because I know my body needs it.
Tell her she needs to be a pampered princess until instructed otherwise by the doctor. It sucks for all parties, the patient and those handling, but just try day by day and to breath. Don't push if she can't do it. I get it. I was working out 5 days a week and I've been a couch potato since! Its ok to cry, and its ok to give her body time to heal.
Hope that helps some! Don't fret, and remember the doctor's office should be there if you have any concerns. Fingers crossed for her quick healing :)
Thank you so much, I know she'll get better, hopefully soon.
❤️❤️❤️
Best of luck to your mom and you and all in your house! It’s rough, but it does get better 💜💜
I imagine the recovery time depends on age and fitness. My father was 67 when he had this surgery, and it took him at least 2 weeks before he felt comfortable moving around, and a month before he felt that he was back to normal.
Hope your Mom recovers well <3
Thank you so much for the info, it means a lot to me and calmed me a bit. Sending hugs ❤️❤️
Nobody in my family has been through such an ordeal so I cannot imagine what you're going through, you're an amazing person for being so strong.
