It's fun to see lore dumps, I think it fleshes out characters way more than a simple [character ref] plus occasional arts of them does. Even in sketch form there's rook for lots of fun details and little easter eggs.

I am curious what connection the Resort has to the Corps, it seems like a habitat for preds that aren't dangerous enough to need confinement, but probably not safe for the average person to be walking around (as our guy almost found out if not for helpful rockfeesh). Tortania is able to go there, so there must be some open airness to visit it. Or possibly the resort is some way for the Corps to make money back from preds and fund themselves...?

The Corps is not aware of the Resort, while they're the biggest and most powerful organisation in the country, they're still not immune to oversights due to the huge nature of the landmass itself and not having enough people for proper surveillance.
However, the hunter squadron dedicated to capturing and selling these wild specimens aren't entirely clueless to some kind of gathering of large monsters, they're just not entirely sure WHAT it is.

I like it when a setting gets expanded upon, more details added, etc, it makes it more enjoyable.
Given the fact that most of the species I saw were aquatic though, and their in the middle of the ocean, makes me wonder how their retained in the resort and don't go wandering off/escaping to the mainland for a snack, aside from it's presumably remote location.
I'm now imagining a small army of augmented cyborgs/robots would be necessary to reign them in if they get too feisty/uppity for their own good, and to protect any exec's/V.I.P's that might want to make use of the facilities of a presumably lush tropical island for vacation purposes as well.

So, the Resort is a beach on the mainland, not actually an island! Based off a real location near Sydney as well. All of the monsters in this place are "naturally" occurring rather than made inside the Corps labs. As I specified in the above response, the Resort itself is not known to the EvergreenCorps and such operates under the radar as a tourist attraction to sea-faring monsters that can evade detection underwater, while human ships can't.
