Yeah and it always sucks cause i've had relatively big artists approach me like this before because they just fall for my character and want to draw them, those have always been good outcomes but it's just getting to become too many and my economy sucks so bad right now.

I haven't gotten any DM like that in a while. (Maybe because I haven't posted anything to FA in a while?)
It's pretty bad on Twitter as well tho, where I absolutely don't bother to reply anymore.

Yeah for me it's been like this for a few months now.
I wish that helped me, i haven't posted in a good while and still i get a lot of notes like this.
Twitter is the worst for this, i've stopped replying as well and then they find me on discord and try and bug me there instead lol
(It often is a scam, most of them never post their art and only send it to you in the DM's)

Oh yeah. I often checked the Twitter profile and they never really seem to have any art on it.

Yeah, blank twitter pages of if they do upload the quality is so random you can't really understand how it's the same person drawing it lol

I long ago stopped responding to just 'Hi's. My life's been so less cluttered since.

Yeh i've gotten a lot more weary on such messages nowadays, don't help i barely have time to interact with people online these days.

The top of my page specifically states NOT to DM me unless they want a comm from me.

My DMs are strictly for commission info and shit.

Sadly people never listen to what's written, and i'm no artists so i can't really close my notes since i need them open to interact with artists.

I tend to hold them strictly for commissions myself, interactions outside commissions is only on telegram and discord for me.

Even worse when you have to walk all that empty "Hi - How are you? - What are you doing?" smalltalk just to find out they're trying to scam you, offering commissions that're ultimately AI generated - if you get anything at all.

Yeah it always sucks, especially when you find out all the small talk only lead up to that instead of just starting with it.

Pretty sure most of the random "I love your [unnamed] character, so unique, wanna commission me, I'm super cheap and flexible!!1!" type messages are just scammers, anyway, so you're not exactly missing much by just blanket declining them.

I've actually have had some good experience with it but i'm just too wary of these people nowadays when AI have gotten so good, i don't want to spend money on AI.

I've missed out on this journal :S

It's been an ongoing thing. It's either just "Hi" "How are you doing?" small talk, when I'm clearly not up for conversation with a stranger. Or someone trying to make me buy commissions.

I end up ignoring most of them, till I tell them that: I use Notes to keep up with the artistist themselves.

It's also gotten to a point that the same random person would send me a note whenever they notice I upload new bought commissions, just to fill up the Notes with just "Hi" :V
