What has left the greatest impact on your art style?
Hi there, dearies! Just feeling like discussing things and would like to know more about you :з
I'm quite sure, we all started our art careers here inspired by one animated thing or another. Sometimes those things that were everything to us during our childhood and youth fade into the background; but in other cases they kinda remain with us to this very day. And this is something priceless, I think.
So, I'm curious which pieces of animation have such weight for you, and why. Was it the animation style that seemed quite lovely to you? Well-written scripts that impressed you so much? Maybe not the entire thing, but some specific characters from there? Share those titles, share your impressions, I'm interested to know which things helped you become the artist you are today 💖
P.S. I will share my own story, too! Next time~
-First inspiration could be cartoons like the Disney afternoon shows from the 1980s and 1990s, it got me into animated characters and such.
-Second is video games like Mario etc, Most my early work is custom game sprites, So that's how i started my path to art.
-Third, the thing that got me to actually start making art, was seeing some of my favorite artists on DA, one particular comes to mind, I don't know if she draws much these days, But she was a big reason i started my own art.
-Fourth, now that i started making my own art, the inspirations came from watching other artist i looked up to. Like i wasn't that into animal crossing until i saw all the cute art people did of it, so i got deeply inspired from that.
Im curious what your story is.
I had pretty much the same case about the AC! This is one of my favorite videogames nowadays, but back in the day I didn’t pay much attention to this franchise at all. Probably it was those lots of fanart that began to appear only after the New Horizons' release which helped me to get into it. I wish I could make my own fanart at some point.
I will write my story in a separate journal somewhere soon when I find the right time :')
As for TLK, the first movie is one of the best movies in history for sure; buuut the sequel, I think, had a more artistic impact for many people, including me. I mean, the Outlanders' aesthetic is so cool and unique! As a kid, I drew Outlanders almost all the time at some point xD
