Just got reminded how rare book tf is
When someone turns into a book, do they turn into a book that they like? Like if someone really likes Moby Dick for reason do they turn into that book?
Or maybe it’s if they like cooking a lot they turn into a cooking book or something. If they’re a sleuth into like a mystery? What happens to their mind is it just rewritten into like only cooking thoughts?
Maybe they turn into an autobiography or something. But if you erased parts wouldn’t it rewrite their like personality or memories? Could be jnteresting
What about absorbing people into picture books do they exist in like a simulated environment or are they stuck in place???
I wonder what happens if you turn a whole group of people into one book, like every page is a single person. Or maybe every letter is a single person that would be such an interesting mass tf
Idk I’m rambling I’m tired and got back from the gym LOL

A cursed magazine of some sort with a blank page somewhere. You can enjoy the magazine all you like, but if you ever turn to the blank page, you (and perhaps anyone around you) will get sucked in and transformed! All that will be left of you is a finely crafted picture in the magazine, and it will generate a new blank page for another unfortunate soul(s) to get sucked in too! Every page is some person or group of people who got sucked in. The part my friend really likes is, when the magazine gets too big, it splits in two, half of the people stay in the original, while the others half move to a new cursed magazine.
I just wanted to share my idea, but I do find yours interesting.
Personally, I find it interesting when someone turns into an autobiography of themselves, detailing every little secret in text. It would be interesting if you can outright rewrite their entire personality be editing the text, but what if you remove it all?
I also find it more interesting when people get stuck in the pictures of the book, instead of being in a simulated world inside, though you could probably tell from my idea. Both directions do have their merits though! What if they like the world in the picture more than real life? What if it stated crumbling around then because the page got damaged…?
I really like your final idea tough! Imagine this…
An entire city goes missing overnight. Upon exploring the abandoned area, a person finds a large book. It explains, in detail, how every single person got sucked into and turned into a page inside the very book they are reading. When they finish, they get sucked in too, another page to add to the story… perhaps what was just read was what the person added to the book when they got sucked in, and your next?
Brainstorming ideas is fun!
Meta TFs are also quite rare so the last idea is really good. Breaking that fourth wall when done right is so good, reminds me of like an SCP that disguises itself as a website to hunt people but it turns out that the SCP page is the creature
Still trying to figure out whether I prefer the people turns into words or into images. Words is more conceptually interesting but I don’t know how they would feel. But photos are really great for describing, especially if it locks the last expression they made…
I absolutely adore it when someone turns into a picture and it locks them in place, that type of horror is my jam. I have two characters (no pictures sorry) that do exactly that to people, one with cards, the other with graffiti. You can lock the expression, the pose they made when becoming the picture, they can be redrawn into something else or into a different pose, thoughts edited by using a thought bubble, and even potentially teased by someone touching a specific spot in the photo!
I remember reading book when I was younger, about a cursed book or something that shrinks you down onto it, but you can return to normal if you hop off the edge of the book. However, if you stepped into the ink of the words, you would become trapped in the ink, only able to say (and perhaps think, I forgot) things involving the peace of text you got inked into. For example, a poor soul trapped in a question mark would only be able to say questions, and someone trapped on an exclamation mark would only be able to yell. I got reminded of that when you brought up the “turning into text”.
Perhaps somone turned into a word would only be able to think sentences, and concepts with that word in it from now on? Or perhaps just that word in particular?

(definitely a classic favorite)
