I bet if you tell me, I'll feel like a dummy for not getting it
It's hinting towards how people develop bad habits in drawing, simply because they stick to the things they know. They become afraid of spending the time or effort to increase their skill, and fall into a crutch.
I'm sure we're all guilty of it... I certantly am. -..-;;
