I find the lack of watcher/creator interaction very frustrating...
why do i post my stuff if people do not even care to leave a comment, feedback and such...
In defense of quiet lurkers, they might have been burned by prior toxic responses from artists. I've had a lot of people blow up over simple "Hey, nice art" comments with no possible objectionable content.
Well as a creator... the comment "nice art" is really not feedback... i wouldn't blow up over it but I wouldn#t really reply to it either...
cause what else other then thanks I could say...
And i had my fair share of "negative" reactions to my comments too... right now the level of interactions online becomes less and less...
it feels dead online and to be honest (and i know my stuff is shit) but i think why would i need to post my stuff if nobody comments or reacts...
What?
I feel some times my customers scared about what tell me. Ok
I'm look and talk most seriously.
But also I see how in social media artist expose some comments what they not like to the fan base to launch they fan base for harasses who's do that comment.
But for a comment like "Hey, nice art"??
It just happens. It used to bother me. But I don’t go around faving much either so I’m fine. After I finally learned to love my work I didn’t mind the lack of faves as much
I'm personally rather fickle when it comes to faving things, Usually I only do it for things that really stand out to me most even among artwork I like, sometimes I'll decide to fave a very obscure and old art piece. There have been a few moments where I spontaneously decide an upload I didn't care for the previous day is suddenly one the best things I've seen all week and fave it, this has even happened for uploads that I've known for nearly a decade.
I may be a commissioner but I still do take pride in how much attention the things I commission get so I appreciate faves myself. I try not to make a habit of getting hung up with numbers though so to avoid that, I see every fave I get as a chance to discover more art & artists by checking what other things they have faved.
I not meaning that
Don't take it personally. You don't copy me and shadow banning me.
Difference
This is why I mean 'tick", parasite take but don't give.
For example:
Random user comment in a artwork: "Oh you (some artist) do a gorgeous renamon design, it's the best renamon in all fandom"
No.
Design is by me but any mention about me.
And later they say "artist support artist " HA!
Not is the same of some artist saying me; Omg I love how you drawn like like like all. And then they practice taking me as a example for learning. That it's ok. And some for fel proudly of my self.
Is see how popular, huge popular take work, ideas from smaller artist and if the smaller artist say something that popular artist exposed public they to the own big fan base for harassing the small artist.
I see that a lot of times.
I am only replying to "Watched but none pic faved? Suck my kitty balls, you filthy Tick." That is all the journal says and all that I can infer from that is that somebody watched you and did not favorite anything and you took great offense to it. I don't have any other context.
A lot of times I will watch an artist without faving anything, and only fave new uploads. Some artist toss a bitchy fit if you fav a bunch of their old images all at once.
