I recently went to the doctor due to an issue I have been dealing with for a long time with a pilonidal cyst. It's really gross and concerning and it causes me to bleed from an open wound frequently. But it has progressed to a point where it's a danger of getting infected. I have been given antibiotic medicine and been doing wound care, but the doctor said that I will need surgery to get it taken care of. I'm not afraid of the surgery, the problem is the cost. Despite having medical insurance, It's going to cover almost nothing and I was given an estimate that it would cost $6000 out of pocket and with money being really tight lately, I do not have enough to cover the costs of the surgery.

I'm in a really bad position here and I'm not sure what I can do about it.

In the meantime, I have made a fundraiser on Ko-fi to try and offset the cost. Any help that can be given will be appreciated, be it in the form donations or spreading the word would be a great help. I feel really bad that I have to do this. Also if anyone has an ideas on how I can raise some funds or if anyone wants a commission, I am open for commissions. UPDATE [08/25/2024]:
