It bears repeating. This game needs to be saved in one way or another. I met my first partner in this game, made some of my first friends on here, got into the furry community at large because of some of these people encouraging me to take the step into the public space. Even if I find PvP games frustrating now, I still love this game more than words can ever express. I love its meaning, its passion, the way the community is an amalgamation of so many people with tons of ideas on it.

If Valve won't do anything, support the modders. Support TF2 Classic, Open Fortress, Team Fortress Obscura. If TF2 is to become abandonware, give your attention to the people who still want this game to be remembered for how special it is. Team Fortress 2 itself may die, but it lives on in its community's heart.
