Patreon Closure/Focusing on Subscribestar
a year ago
The title's pretty self explanatory, I've decided to close my Patreon creator account since I've grown tired of having to dance around their constantly shifting rules and goal posts. I don't get the feeling they really have my best interests as a creator in mind, and the whole atmosphere of the place doesn't instill a sense of creativity anymore.
So! For those who still wish to support me and keep the art going, I do have a Subscribestar. I've had an account there for quite a while actually, I'm just dismally bad at advertising myself. You can check it out here:
https://subscribestar.adult/halbean
This will be the primary outlet for my sketches and doodles that I can't be assed to post publicly (there's a lot of it. Like, a LOT). It'd be really dope if you lot could check it out if not already. I'm a huge fan of eating and keeping a roof over my head and would sincerely appreciate your patronage there.
I'm trying to push myself in a more active creative direction, going beyond just sketches and commissions and dipping into animation and 3D. The less I have to worry about managing multiple subscription accounts the more time I'll be able to focus on my work. Theoretically.
Oh, and as a reminder check out my Itaku too. It's something~

If you have any questions feel free to shoot 'em.

Kinda not surprised they favorite shit, piss, and fart content 😒. They're probably a diaper and cub lover to.
I'm still baffled Subscribestar is the only real platform that just plain and simple decided to ditch all that crap entirely because it's not worth playing the arbitrary rules change game with that payment processing syndicate.
I still wish subscribestar allowed for annual subscriptions, but if it means, more money in your back pocket at the end of the day and less stress about making the art you want to make, I’m happy to keep my monthly subscription.
Here’s hoping things settle down in the future and you get to breathe a little easier. The great art is assured, but a happy, passionate artist means even more great art as a result.
Take care.
It's ridiculous how much control credit card companies have over basic commerce, or Cloudflare over web content itself. Really just spooky how condensed power is in general, and none of the people in charge are elected (not that elections are real in the US anymore, but you know what I mean)
I hope Substar doesn't get shittier too.
Love your work btw!
Yeah I know-- but it's only "tinfoil hat" until the knock on the door. BTDT.
Elections have consequences.
being proactive is the best route you can take.
