Special notice:
It has been announced that the owner of FurAffinity, Dragoneer, has passed away. With him so has gone a sense of security that this site which has been a go to web location for many for nearly(?) 20 years. Without useful information I can not honestly give any answers as to what to do.
I can not say if Dragoneer had a will, spelling out who gets the site. But if Admin retains the same disciplines and operations style as ever, FA should be fine. Questions of censorship and the site being taken down are more alarmist, at this point. It is best to "stick a pin" in those right now, instead of causing a panic without any solid information to base any reactions on.
I can see the restrictions Dragoneer placed on FurAffinity to be relaxed or eliminated. However, the ones I am thinking of would NOT be net positive for FA. You can guess which ones those may be.
This situation is naturally subject to major and possibly rapid changes. "Be thee aware, be ye NOT afraid."
If anything, I would expect FA to try to grow, in some degree like, but not necessarily, like or to the size of DeviantArt. FurAffinity has its place and activist groups need to understand not every place is a stage potential or actual for them to use, abused, and ultimately ruin for NO GAIN. Not everyone wants real world politics in their "fun space". That may still remain up to us to maintain as long as Admin does not fall to the "mind virus".
A Prayer for Dragoneer, his family, and FurAffinity.
