Other places to find me if FA goes down
Hi REWRveryone!
You probably already heard of it, but recently, a very sad news hit the furry / scaly community... Dragoneer has passed away.
It is not someone I knew personally, but he was very important for the most active furry website, the one you're currently reading this message on: FurAffinity.
And if we dig deeper, we can also find recent messages explaining how hard it was to maintain that website. People who are aware of FurAffinity's current situation warned that Dragoneer's death sadly put this website's future in peril, and that soon or later, we may all be forced to find another platform to keep sharing our content, and our passion.
(EDIT: Apparently, that was a fake news. FurAffinity should be able to survive for a long while again)
First of all, I'd like to say a big THANK YOU to Dragoneer for all those years he fought to keep that website online. Visibly, it probably wasn't easy.
And then, obviously, I wish him to rest in peace. It is particularly sad to know he left so young (42 or 44 years old, if I remember correctly).
Now that I said what needed to be said, here's a link to redirect you to all the other active places where you can follow me at: https://akelun.carrd.co/
Of course, it would be better if FA could survive... But better safe than sorry, I guess?
Take care everyone! <3

FA+

I'm sure if there really is an issue, they'll probably ask for help before just giving up the ghost and shutting down. So I wouldn't worry too much.
Oh GREAT! That would be really GREAT news! ^^
I hope it is indeed the case and that FA could survive. It would be better for sure. I'll still let my journal anyway, just in case. Because even if they do their best to maintain the website, loosing all of a sudden the main admin really can have an important impact anyway. I'm crossing my fingers in hope that won't be the case, but better safe than sorry.
Thanks for the precision.
But thanks for the suggestion. ^^
'Neer set FA up as a subsidiary of an LLC for specific risks like these, so the worst that could happen is that it's sold once again to a company like Imvu (which wouldn't be glorious, but that's besides the point). There's nothing for a creditor to liquidate in terms of valuable assets, which means it has more value being sold as is rather than dissolved, so it doesn't risk dying.
It's a relief to hear it. I'll keep the journal anyway, just in case. Better safe than sorry, as we say.
