According to FA Discord server someone shared screenshot to Telegram group chats I'm in. Admin named Luffy stated 2 of 4 important mentions following "Existing staff and director remains in place" annnnd "There are some unknowns that need to be worked out, but in the near term nothing regarding the website is changing".

Meaning FA is in fact not going away in order to keep Dragoneer's wishes to keep this site running. Staffs and director decided to keep his wishes and honor knowing he doesn't want this site to go under.

I'm very glad you decided to join BlueSky over Twitter because Twitter is god damn hellscape shit website. BlueSky doesn't have algorithm which is amazing for all of us to take advantage. I would suggest to start posting there soon so people and I will share it that will helps you to build up followers that way. Also anyone who post arts they got from you for commission can finally credited you with link properly. ^^

On BlueSky, it's best to start checking and readjusting your moderation system to turn on all NSFW of your choice and advanced BlueSky Moderation service to turn off "sexually suggestive (cartoon)" so pic doesn't get covered by annoying warning label with click to open.


PS: BlueSky is actually very active than was before so that shouldn't be an issues.

I forgot to mentioned one thing. When you post mature or nsfw, makes sure to label it as NSFW and it can be found in Post when you open and at the top right where you'll see triangle with exclamation mark sign. BlueSky have robust system that give choices people wish to see nsfw or not (When ppls selected no will not able to see nsfw posts at all). Which is... tbh really nice option designed for all of us for our needs. A lot better than Twitter.

On the gallery side there are a fair number of options. Itaku, Newgrounds, and plenty of others of varying popularity.

This site has had plenty of doomsayers over the years, but it's always managed to survive somehow. Best to just get in the habit of crossposting if you do want to assume the worst before it happens.

The site is big enough and old enough to know to give notice to its users before shutdown.

Watched ya on bluesky! Also it's good to not "put your eggs into one basket" as they say if you're an artist. Gotta get out there and sell yourself in a way to be seen more. I've been in doubt about the fate of FA as well. However, many people say the site is stable. We'll have to wait and see 🤗💗👌🏽🐉

This may be true, "It's no secret that FA has had funding and server issues," but it has been years, and things have been addressed and fix. But regardless of that it is a good idea to have a backup plan. BlueSky is a good place to go to and such, I may have another idea but there no plan yet as I'm waiting for software updates. I just drop a watch.
