I don't really know any other sites that have quite as much activity in the fandom but I have a feeling if the site goes down, Weasyl might be picked up as the next best thing? Currently it's pretty dead but I get the feeling that's in favour of everyone using FurAffinity :o It's pretty similar too!

Yeah, I'm not fully convinced this site gonna go down just like that. But also rather safe than sorry.

I don't think anything will happen to FA but these days some social media site seems to go down every other year... I guess the only safe solution is doing it yourself, which is why I put up my own website with gallery - which probably is a bit too techy ^^ If you want a public archive and don't care too much about the social media aspects, what about cloud storage like google drive, dropbox or any other like that? Keep offline copies of course since those sites might not be forever either.

Also gotta be careful with cloud storage depending on what you store there, since apparently they (Google and such) are aware of what you post privately and can take it down if they don't like it. I've seen it happen before.

I agree, also whatever other bs they might have in their TOS. I'd at best consider it a place for sharing but not the (single) place to keep backups. There might be more trustworthy sites than the popular ones.

What I want is an easily organized gallery function with folders and age restriction options. It is to have everything gathered one place for viewers to browse, cuz social media sites are only for promoting your presence and not easy to look through for the art
