I have laid my admiration for everything disney to rest a long, long time ago... when they still made hand-drawn animated movies...
But I can relate...

I feel you.. I haven't watched stuff from them either since then. but still. I just saw that trailer and hated everything about it. Damn . How can you .. uh. Nope.. I will not waste my energy on this .

It is Disney... they like to ride dead horses and beat them too...
It is their spiel to milk their franchises until they are dry like a riverbed on mars...
The sad thing about it is, there are still enough idiots who will flock to their movies and series and whatever so it will be worth their while producing it...

Yeah, that company been going downhill since they started making every iconic films and iconic characters into live action. Nobody asked for that and company won't listen as they only want is money.

It just ruin the iconic films and specific characters. Which is why I haven't watch Disney film for over 5 years or so.

that is not a tragic back story.. They could made it a good backstory.. But they just made Scar a looser who is being betrayed by the one he saved and his reputation ruined forever. The actually made Mufasa the villain now. A terrible cruel villain who treated the one bad that saved him. This is fuckign with Scar and Mufasa fans the same time. XD

Naja, technisch gesehen war Mufasa ja im König der Löwen auch schon nicht komplett der Gute, wenn man sieht wie streng er auf den Schutz des Geweihten Landes schaut und die Hyänen verbannt hat. Und Simba hat dann ja eigentlich weitergemacht.
Zumindest im echten Leben hat jedes Tier seinen Platz auf dieser Welt, aber im Film scheinbar eben nicht. 🤔

Bis auf einen Trailer zu "Mufasa" habe ich von dem Film nichts mitbekommen. Aber deinen Worten entnehme ich, dass Disney diesmal mit der größten Abrissbirne angekommen sein muss, um einen der besten Filme aus eigenem Haus zu demontieren. Es ist eine Schande.
Anstatt sich ein paar neue Geschichten einfallen zu lassen, oder aus dem reichen Fundus von Märchen, Fabeln und Sagen zu schöpfen, machen sie sich selbst alles kapputt...

Dabei gäbe es noch so viele Grimms Märchen, die sie interpretieren könnten, wie Rotkäppchen oder Hänsel und Gretel, das Niebelungenlied (bei Cap und Capper haben sie auch die Originalgeschichte auf 180° links gedreht und es hat geklappt), sie könnten sich lokale Sagen aus aller Herren Länder zum Vorbild nehmen. (Bärenbrüder, Vayana un dergleichen machen es vor).
Aber am Ende ist es wohl wieder mal die Gier und eben auch das Geld, das streitet...

Begnügen wir uns eben mit den alten Filmen, denn die hatten noch Klasse.

Sie haben es so gemacht, dass Scar der leibliche SOhn des Königs ist, Mufasa ein Findelkind, gerettet von Scar. Dann klaut Mufasa sozusagen den Thron von Scar. Also noch mehr kann man Scar nicht kaputt machen als Charakter Oo Hey. Du rettest wen, der verarscht dich, und am Ende hassen dich alle dafür das du dir nimmst, was dir eh gehörte. Nette Botschaft, Disney XD

Das dreht wirklich die ganze Geschichte um 180'.
Und es scheint fast so als würde man schleich-propaganda dafür machen dass Diktatoren eigentlich im Recht sind...

They are on their way to fuck Star Wars. When you get a greedy company, they will fuck (ruin) everything by touching all that they made to remake with bad writers or bad management, ruining all of it. Is probably why Lion King was ruined. Usually its the management causing changes.
