Small Delay - Cataract Surgery
I was recently diagnosed with a cataract in my left (good) eye likely from repeated injections which ironically where to help save what vision I have in that eye by managing my inflammatory disease which thankfully it is doing!
It's in the middle of my eye and pretty much covers my entire lense. My Dr literally described looking at the lense in my eye as "frosted glass" which is about right since that's about what it's like to see ATM. I was told it's a pretty quick developing cataract and since I only have one good eye I was scheduled for cataract removal surgery at the end of this month.
- I have been attempting to use my computer but getting increased eye strain related headaches even when I jack the magnification up on my font/ various other accessibility settings etc. I also can't really see fine detail at the moment which makes art significantly harder.
My doctor is confident that the new lense will remove the haze and I'll be able to see much better even though the retinal damage is of course permeant.
I will resume working when I am able/ depending on my post op instructions.
I have some more health stuff going on in the background but I'm waiting for test results. I've been making good progress with my GI specialist and after over two months of essentially being vegan I am starting to feel ok-ish ...at least not like a walking zombie.
Anyway I look forward to feeling better and I can't wait to see better again so I can get back to drawing @.@
