This will get very emotional now...
I am so tired in regards to social media right now. Its not fun anymore, its draining and I don't feel welcome on most platforms.
Everything changes so quickly, the enshittinfication of places like facebook and twitter has gotten so bad that I closed both accounts over the last couple of years. It was so much work to get the follower count I had, but when no one of these followers see my posts, its just a random number without meaning.
"Old" gallerys like FA feel like a haven. I crave meaning and real connection to people. I start to gravitate towards "old social media" forms as of late.
I am happy at discord, mastodon and gallery sites without an algorithm, I am very happy here.
Thank you so much everyone, that you picked up the torch from Dragoneer, that you keep this site going, that I consider a home online, for so many years. We need places like this in the midst of all this corporate bullshit.
Something real and honest, where we can celebrate our passion and human connections.

Ich war erstaunt wie schnell da die Summe der ersten Schätzung der Kosten zusammen gekommen ist und dann auch so großartig überboten wurde.
Leider haben sich dann noch viele neue Schätze an Kosten gefunden die beglichen werden müssen und ich schätze das hier noch nicht das Ende er Schreckenszahlen erreicht ist.
Ich hoffe sehr das die Gemeinschaft weiter jeden Dollar zusammenlegt den sie erübrigen kann, um FA als Heimat von uns zu schützen.
Ich mag FA so wie es ist, es ist einfach und schnörkellos, man findet alles da wo es schon immer war.
I very much hope that the team will be able to settle his estate. That they will be able to bring everything that is important to us here to safety.
I was amazed at how quickly the sum of the first estimate of the costs came together and then was so greatly exceeded.
Unfortunately, many new treasures of costs have been found that have to be settled and I estimate that the end of the horror figures has not yet been reached here.
I really hope that the community will continue to pool every dollar they can spare to protect FA as our home.
I like FA the way it is, it's simple and straightforward, you can find everything where it's always been.
