its a little complicated since you need to find an instance that fits your interest. there are many furry instances and i would personally recommend gulp.cafe as its a furry vore instance.

I'm on gulp.cafe myself! Much more chill than Twitter, and using hashtags and links doesn't get you a ton of bots!

Some artists use Telegram for that, having channels that are purely for them to post art and updates that followers can see, but not chat in (or optionally, if enabled, each post the artist makes can have its own "comment section").

Might be a good lightweight spot for further spreading out one's eggs, to use your example.

Will Inkbunny not be on the list? I use it as my main platform now, whoever moves there from FA I follow them on it if I can, Furaffinity has been more of a backup for folks I can't find elsewhere. Twitter I've been banned from for ages, Bluesky I never registered on since I wasn't sure if it would be Twitter 2.0... definitely on Mastodon though my instance is defederated by most servers for "too much artistic freedom" so I likely couldn't follow you from my main account. Definitely a good decision to use multiple places in any case, thanks for this!

This is why I am spread across everything. Furaffinity, Deviantart, Weasyl, Mastadon, Bluesky, Twitter, Tumblr, Cara, and E621. I've been using the application Postybirb as my cheat-code to upload to all of them in one click.

I'm glad you're available elsewhere just in case, but being on shitter is probably not actually useful as a source of alternative places to be found in. Twitter actively hindered passing around information on the hack and the sort of people who hang out there are exactly the sorts of chuds that support shit like what just happened, so having an account there is a liability at this point.
