a year ago
Hey everyone! It’s been sooooo long since i’ve updated on here and not for not wanting to or that i’d abandon my FA page, not at all.
The last year since I went back to working my day job again regressed my creative pursuits more than I thought would ever happen. At the time I went back in June 2023, I still had Megaplex committed to so I kept going. However, post Megaplex everything went to shit. My hrs are Noon - 8/9pm M-F. It’s customer service but desk work cause I still do digital design but I’m doing a lot of answering email orders and working up quotes for clients (I work in printing). However, they have us standing in 1 spot for 8hrs a day. Answering phones constantly. It’s a loooot. While I enjoy it still and love all of my coworkers, it’s incredibly draining on my social battery. When I get home, I simply don’t want to exist anywhere else, which has lead me to step back from everything I kept up with online (socials, streaming, discord, telegram). All I found myself doing was either reading, playing comfy farm sim games, or doom scrolling tiktok. My creativity was burnt out and I felt constant guilt for not putting more time into working on owed art.
Jan 2024 I found a new burst of life and I’ve been diligently plugging away at my comm queue despite being slower than I’d like. Thankfully I’m seeing the end of it now which means I plan to embrace mistakes, throw my perfectionism out the window, and get back to studying and improving my art. I’ve been doing a lot more background painting in my comms and I really want to improve that along side developing my style. I’ve invested in some online art courses for digital painting and I’m eager to get down to practicing and taking that knowledge to put towards future commission offerings as well as my own personal projects (which has Orias all over it lol).
With that info, you’ll be seeing uploads from me of my back log of art I’ve done over the last year steadily show up in your submissions. I do hope you give them a fav or even a comment. I love hearing from you all and knowing my art is reaching you fills me with joy and helps me fight past the exhaustion and burnout from my day job so pursue creativity no matter the hrs i’m left with in the day.
For any Washington state furs here, I’ll actually be in the Seattle area this October 1st - 8th as my wife and I will be up looking around at potential places we would like to move to by Fall 2025. 🥰 We plan on spending a good chunk of time at the Slightly Furry Taproom at 851 Rainier Ave S in Seattle, WA. We’ll update times when we’ll be there exactly when it’s closer, but if you have the time and want to say hi, I’d love to meet you! I will be bringing some free giveaways of merch I have (like enamel pins of Orias) so let me know you follow me on FA or my other socials and I give you goodies!

Thank you! Yeah prob not till we move. :( If I worked a morning shift where I got off work at 4 or 5pm it'd be different. Hopefully I can find something part-time in WA that I can do and do comms and streaming part-time.
