I honestly find it frustrating seeing people complain about a rule against sexualizing minors. This site has been a nightmare of bad decisions and mismanagement, and I get that the greater point is that people are being false flagged for drawing characters that aren't minors and all that-- you don't need to tell me-- but good lord are the optics bad as hell. It's not that they don't ever raise any good points-- it just doesn't look good when I see a journal post or a blanked out gallery going "I can't draw certain characters because of a rule that prevents me from sexualizing minors? This is bullshit! >:(" regardless of that not being what they're trying to say.

To be perfectly clear: I'd rather it be a rule that they're making strides to enforce, even if it means making missteps, than for them to be laissez-faire about a very serious issue throughout the community.

Especially since, in some respects, it honestly doesn't even feel like they're doing it hard enough.

I'm so sick of looking up fetish art on here only to see characters very obviously and indisputably minors that haven't been removed. Not even any characters that these people would defend (or at least I hope they wouldn't defend) like pre-evolved pokemon, or most of the sonic cast now that their ages have been removed from websites. I mean shit like Cream the Rabbit. Characters that are very obviously written to be children. Not even attempting to age them up-- it makes me fucking ill that this shit is still on the website.

I've had someone I considered a close friend get outed as a groomer-- with one of their victims being another friend of mine. While I realize that is nothing compared to the trauma their victims have to deal with, it's made this topic one far more personal to me. So fucking forgive me that, even as an ABDL fetishist myself, I get fucking sick of people being whiny little bastards that they can't draw their obviously child-coded characters shitting their diapers anymore. I'm sorry that the well's poisoned, but go after the fuckers poisoning it-- not the people who built the well.

We already have to deal with 4channers and conservatives accusing us of being pedophiles just for being furries and LGBTQ+, I'd much prefer we don't give them a good reason to do so.

(Also addendum; I'm not saying that we can't contest rules that aren't well written ofc, just that it puts a pit in my stomach to see people complain about this and in many cases out themselves by admitting they draw art adjacent to what could be a legitimate breach of policy)
