Commission Delivery Situation
TLDR: All commissions will be delivered by 09/30. I will only work with YCHs next month and so on.
First and foremost, I would like to apologize to all my commissioners for the late commissions and assure you that they will all be delivered by the 30th of September (the end of this month).
I've had a bad record of delaying commissions, working without a clear deadline, and having an unclear communication system. I apologize for all of it. I do not plan to scam people on this platform, YOUR PIECE WILL BE DELIVERED.
It's come to my attention that I generally suck at deadlines, I suck at it in uni and I suck at it as an artist open for commissions.
I often get burnt out for taking more than I can handle and I've realized that I don't enjoy working with fully personalized commissions.
There was a time when I worked only with YCH, which was far better for me mentally (less stress about certain elements that you do have to stress about when working with commissions from scratch), financially (less worry about having to refund, even though I don't really do it anymore. There are also better strategies to get paid the full amount you would get paid in a month instead of tiny amounts that make it much harder to organize your finances, you kind of lose track of what you have and what you'll receive) and, finally, timewise (finally having a clear idea of how much work to do within a certain timeframe, when you'll get paid and no more doubts about being able to deliver it all within the month, which has been my biggest struggle).
I apologize for not being clear about health (physical and mental) with my commissioners, I apologize for the lack of clear communication (I truly don't handle it well, there's a reason why I avoid social media). Those are not excuses for my poor control over the commissions I take, but I hope it explains things to some of you.
Thank you for your patience, I promise to do better next month and so on.
