An Update on Alani 64 (a good one)
Hey everyone, y'all might remember the romhack I showed off on Twitter at the start of this year, starring a character co-owned by TOBCS and Incidental getting into expansive scenarios. I went radio silent on what that was shortly afterwards, which brings us to now. Truth be told, the project was on hiatus for most of this year as I worked on important life stuff (namely graduating from college wow). But over the last month I went back to it and am currently almost done (i say semi-confidently) with the hack. I want to talk about what this entails right now to set expectations properly (not that you've been on the edge of your seat waiting for it lol)
- Alani 64 is a 7-star mario 64 romhack starring Alani the Yoshi. It's very short but shows off a furry weight-gain / inflation belly mechanic I coded.
- It's got custom music alongside the custom model of alani.
- This romhack/mod runs off of Super Mario 64 PC Coop Deluxe. Despite this, Alani 64 is a single-player experience. It can not be used with more than 1 player, and does not work online in any capacity. Even if it could, I do not want a furry expansion mod anywhere near the game's public servers. If you don't understand why, then please don't play the mod.
- this hack is short and more proof-of-concept than anything else, but I do hope you enjoy it regardless.
I'm hoping to release it somewhere in the timeframe of next weekend (so either the 28th or 29th of September.) It won't be perfect, but it will be done. Enjoy the big yoshi romhack when it arrives!
