I quit my job
I had a full time job for a long time, I had to recently put in my notice because the demands of the job were destroying my physical and mental health and I couldn't get alternative employment lined up in time. I had a series of increasingly terrifying breakdowns and that was that. So now I'm unemployed. I built up some savings in that time that I'm going to be living off of for the next little while. I left on good terms so I could always go back, but I'm going to be trying some other things that I wouldn't have time for otherwise. I don't want to go back, but I also don't love being unemployed. We'll see how things go.
I haven't been posting much because all of my energy was going to work and recovering from work. Feels like my life has been in suspended animation for half a decade.
Anyway that's what's been going on with me. I'm still alive, I'm about to become middle-aged. Hopefully I can start something new somewhere else, something a bit less at odds with my temperament. I have projects I'm working on that I won't be able to share here, as well as some other life-improvement tasks. In the meantime I'm going to try to have more stuff to share here, stuff I want to make for me. I hope you'll like it too.

Im sorry to hear you have been that stressed and worn out for so long. :/
As long as you keep in touch with the community when you got time to let us know how things are with you, im happy.
And welcome to the (early) middle-aged group (As far as Wikipedia has told me haha)
I'm glad you're out of there and hope the best for what's next :)
