PSA about Hipolink: Not usable for artists outside Russia

A cautionary tale for using Hipolink as a Paypal alternative: If the artist asking for you to send money is from eastern Europe, fine. But otherwise avoid it as a Paypal alt.
Artists can only withdraw from Hipolink via bankcards and those outside Russia are blocked for obvious reasons.
So while anyone can sign up for and use a Hipolink, chances are if you're not in Russia you'll quickly find you'll have no means to withdraw your money.
And being that the Dev team is Russian they are nether interested or motivated to offer any refunds. Which is also why they don't stipulate the withdraw restrictions on sign-up.
Thankfully my loss to this was only $60 USD. So while embarrassing it's not the end of the world.
What's a good worldwide Paypal alternative then?
In terms of a paypal alternative that's both usable and worldwide I would suggest Stripe. It has a leg up over CashApp or Venmo in that payee's outside of the USA can use it.
CashApp and Venmo is only good for the limited countries they operate in.
If you cannot use Paypal. then use Stripe.

I'm saying that you should never suggest hipolink as a paypal alt to anyone outside of Russia because there's nowhere for the money to go once it's in hipolink.
I've commissioned Russian artists after their unfair ban from PayPal and all of them had me use Boosty as an alternative.
